Yes, you may report Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) codes 99291-99292 Critical Care with CPT® code 94002 Ventilation assist and management, initiation of pressure or volume preset ventilators for assisted or controlled breathing; hospital inpatient/observation, initial day. For facility reporting, there is no National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edit for the code pairs.
Of note, this is an instance where professional coding instructions differ from facility instructions.
