Answer:

The electroencephalogram (EEG) codes had major updates in 2020 to better reflect current practices. For an EEG lasting 37 hours, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) code 95708 Electroencephalogram (EEG), without video, review of data, technical description by EEG technologist, each increment of 12-26 hours; unmonitored would be reported with two units of service. According to the Long-Term EEG Monitoring Table, the duration of 36 hours and one minute up to 50 hours qualifies for reporting two units.
